A bathroom is more than just a functional space—it’s a sanctuary where you start and end your day. That’s why when a family in Arvada approached us with a vision for their bathroom renovation, we knew we had to create a space that would blend comfort, modern design, and long-term functionality.
The homeowners, a couple with children, voiced that they wanted their bathroom to look and feel lighter, brighter, and more modern. Their Arvada home was built in 2005 and this was their first bathroom renovation project. The original bathroom featured a smaller shower, separate jacuzzi tub, dark wood vanity cabinets, old “Hollywood style” light fixtures, tan tiling and countertops, and little storage space.
In case you missed it, our latest blog outlined current bathroom and bathroom renovation trends. Trustwork collaborated with the homeowners and an interior designer to create a bathroom that reflects their personal preferences and modern trends. The result? A bright, sleek, functional, upgraded sanctuary.
The Bathroom Renovation Project:

Rarely using their bathtub, they decided to have it removed to make space for a new, larger shower with a low curb entry and frameless door for a sleek look. Multiple shower heads with remote controls to operate them independently were installed to create a luxurious shower experience. Using the same white and gray color palette, the Arvada homeowners opted for square tiling on the shower walls and flecked stone on the shower floor to create a unique look.
The homeowners opted for a pre-built set that included the vanity with large drawers, countertops, and sinks. The natural wood look is trending due to its simple yet high quality look.
The outdated tan paint color was updated with a simple green hue to brighten up and modernize the space.
More lights with modern fixtures were installed to give the space an updated look and remote controls allowed for flexibility and options when it came to brightness level and ambience. Black fixtures and hinges were installed to add a contrast to the lighter features in the bathroom.
Removing the original, builder grade shower opened up space to create a linen closet, giving the homeowners the increased storage space they wanted.
