Trustwork Home Renovations and Repairs was founded as a result of a career shift. After over 20 years in corporate project management, it was time for a change. I no longer had the challenge, sense of accomplishment, and pride in the work I once did.
Considering options, I turned to what I did over the years for fulfillment and satisfaction – home improvement projects. But what kind of home services business would be viable and how would it stand out from other companies?
To help answer those key questions, I talked with many homeowners and industry professionals to understand their experiences with home repair and improvement companies. Consistently, their feedback pointed to dissatisfaction with customer service. Slow responsiveness, lack of urgency in scheduling and getting the job done, ineffective communication, and lack of appropriate respect for customers and their homes were some of the call-outs.
Clearly, to be successful, the new business must focus on delivering the absolute best customer experience from start to finish for every customer. That guiding principle is the basis for our company mission statement.
